Speech Therapy in Edmonds, WA

Edmonds skews older than most of our other service areas — a substantial share of clients here are adults who want to stay in homes they’ve been in for decades. That shapes our work. We focus on aphasia, dysarthria, and cognitive-communication changes from stroke, Parkinson’s, and dementia, and we build sessions around the kitchen, garden, and hobbies the person already cares about rather than imported clinic exercises.

For families, Edmonds School District spans Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, and Brier — so caseloads cross district boundaries naturally. We coordinate with school SLPs on goals that complement (not duplicate) what’s happening during the school day.

How In-Home Therapy Works

Sessions take place where communication actually happens — at the kitchen table, in the car, in the room where homework gets done. Tying goals to your real environment makes the new skills easier to keep using after we leave.

When it's helpful and you've given consent, we coordinate with primary care providers, school SLPs, neurologists, and other members of your care team.
