Speech Therapy in Mountlake Terrace, WA

Mountlake Terrace is small, dense, and at the moment it’s a city in transition โ€” the Link light rail station opened a wave of new mid-rise housing and changed who lives here. Our pediatric caseload runs through Edmonds School District schools (Cedar Way, Brier Terrace, Madrona, Mountlake Terrace HS) and we coordinate with district SLPs as part of getting kids the right combination of school-day and at-home support.

For adults, we see a steady mix of post-stroke and dementia-related work, often in the same neighborhoods where someone has lived for 30 or 40 years. Driving someone with new aphasia to a clinic across the freeway is the wrong move โ€” we come to them.

How In-Home Therapy Works

Sessions take place where communication actually happens โ€” at the kitchen table, in the car, in the room where homework gets done. Tying goals to your real environment makes the new skills easier to keep using after we leave.

When it's helpful and you've given consent, we coordinate with primary care providers, school SLPs, neurologists, and other members of your care team.
